What is your style of photography?

If I had to pick three words to describe my style it would be natural, playful, and sincere. I try to get to know my clients and try to picture what style of a photo shoot would be appropriate. I love using props and I try to make every session as unique as you are and do my best to capture it. I will go above and beyond to show what makes you different.

When is payment due?

A non-refundable retainer is due at the time of booking, the remaining balance of the session fee will be due at the time of session.

What method of payments are available to me?

Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club.

What do I need to bring to our session?

Bring anything and everything you would think you would like to have a part of our session. You may bring a bag of clothes if you are hesitant on what to wear. You may bring your child’s favorite stuff animal, snacks, bring your pet. You will also have to bring the remaining balance of the session fee.

If it rains on our session date will I lose my retainer?

No, I will do everything possible to reschedule your session as soon as possible.

How long before I can see my photos?

It usually takes me 2 weeks max before I send you your gallery of images. I do get excited about my sessions though so I usually run home and start editing right away. I will notify you as soon as I have uploaded them to your gallery. I do post a sneak peek within 48 hours of your session either on Facebook or on my website.

What should I wear to our session?

I wouldn’t wear all black or all white or busy patterns. I have created a board on Pinterest to give some ideas on what to wear that you are more than welcome to check out. For families, the best way to describe what you should wear is to coordinate everyone’s outfit. Is hubby wearing a red vest? I recommend wearing a red scarf. Your shirt is striped black and gray? Baby girl could wear a black dress. Don’t match, just coordinate.

What time of day is best for pictures?

Late afternoon. I schedule my sessions a few hours before sunset, it creates an amazing warm glowing light during our session.

What are some other photographers that you follow and inspire you?

Although I keep to my style, I do enjoy trying to keep up with what is trending and continue to learn from other photographers. I love following Ljholloway’s work, you can visit her site at ljhollowayphotography.com. An other photographer I follow is Sue Bryce. She has many lessons on how to properly pose woman and make them feel beautiful. Her website is inbedwithsue.com

When should I book my maternity session?

I recommend booking maternity sessions before you are 35 weeks pregnant. I had my daughter at 35 weeks, so it’s always better to book early. Between 32-35 weeks is always best.

When should I book my newborn session?

Newborn should be booked while you’re pregnant, giving me a few weeks to plan ahead and be prepared for your son/daughter arrival. It is always best to get newborn pictures done before they are 2 weeks old (this is when they usually hit a growth spurt). So earlier the better!

Do you have a studio?

I do not have a studio. I prefer natural light and love being outside.
